[Highland Park] This Sunday at St. Andrew's
The St. Andrew's Five Talents Prayer Circle has now for over two years been passionately engaged with outreach and ministry in Lima, Peru. The main focus has been our collaboration through Five Talents International with micro-lending services initiated and supported in small communities where there can be ongoing training and personal support. These communities are often rooted in local Anglican ministries, and thus our "Five Talents Lima" outreach has brought us into partnership with the Anglican Diocese of Peru. Many of us will remember that this past spring the Very Rev. John and Susan Park visited St. Andrew's. <<http://revbmrobison.blogspot.com/2008/09/seventh-easter-after-ascension-2007_06.html>> John is Dean of the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd,in Lima, and he and Susan are both supported in their ministry primarily through the South American Missionary Society (SAMS). The Five Talents Prayer Circle at St. Andrew's is hosting a Harvest Brunch on Sunday, November 16, with two "sittings" in Brooks Hall: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. An opportunity to enjoy food and fellowship, with proceeds from the Brunch and from Crafts Sales and a Silent Auction to be sent to SAMS in support of John and Susan's ministry. (Additional donations are of course gladly received as well.) Tickets for the Brunch are 10 for adults and children above 10 years of age. No charge for children aged 10 or younger. The tickets may be purchased in the Parish Hall on Sunday, November 9, or on the day of the Brunch. (Reservations recommended.) For more information, call Marty Federowicz at 412 487-6954 or the Church Office, 412 661-1245. It will be a great day of food and fun at St. Andrew's--and all to support a great ministry. Hope to see you there! BruceR http://www.standrewspgh.org http://revbmrobison.blogspot.com/
