Join Us Thurs. Evening for an Interfaith Discussion In Response to the Tree of Life Shooting
Neighbors - we hope you can join us tomorrow evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Hicks Chapel Sanctuary of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary for an important discussion: Woven Together: An Interfaith Response to the Shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue<https://www.pts.edu/woven-together-2018>. In the wake of the shooting inside the Tree of Life synagogue that left 11 worshipers dead and wounded six others, people of faith have grieved together, fed each other, and prayed for the Pittsburgh Jewish community. But how do we speak about this tragedy to people in our faith communities? How can we imagine a way forward that accounts for our diversity as well as our shared humanity? Join interfaith panelists who have been at the forefront of the faith community response to the shooting for insight and conversation. The panelists include: * The Rev. Liddy Barlow, Executive Minister, Christian Associates of Southwest Pennsylvania * Sara Stock Mayo, Director of Music and Ruach, Temple Ohav Shalom * Wasi Mohamed, Executive Director, Islamic Center of Pittsburgh * Rabbi Ron Symons, Senior Director for Jewish Life, Jewish Community Center of Pittsburgh This event is free and open to the public; registration is not necessary.
