Hi Neighbors - I'm writing to report that our garage, which sits detached at the back of our property, was broken into sometime late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. The glass on the door was broken. One of our cars was rifled through and we believe a mallet with a wooden handle that says "Trotter" down the side was stolen. If for any reason you come across this discarded we would like it back. It belonged to my husband's grandfather. On a potentially related note, while I was waiting for the police to arrive so we could file a report a car alarm went off in front of our house and I witnessed a young thin black male exit through the trunk and walk off toward the 900 block of Mellon. The owner of the car - which had a passenger window broken in- showed up but did not wait for the police to arrive. We were told that the owner of the car would need to make a report for them to take information on the person I witnessed leaving the car. Thanks, Breanna
