Hello Highland Park Neighbors. I'm the Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 343. We're your neighborhood Cub Scout pack over at St. Raphael Church. Please let me know if you have any interest in Cub Scouts. It's a fun family-oriented program for youth in Kindergarten through fifth grade that helps develop character and skills. I'd be happy to talk with you about it. KINDERGARTNERS Kindergartners can now join Cub Scouts. Previously, the program began with first graders. We will add a "Lion den" (what we call a group of Kindergartners) in the fall if we have enough support. GIRLS We will try to add girls in the pack in the fall as well. This would be a great option for families, so the boys and the girls can join together. Again, we'll need support from interested families in order for this to work. Girl Scouts is also a great program (my daughter is in a local Girl Scout troop) just for girls, offered through Girl Scouts of the USA. They both have merits.
