I just wanted to share that some friends and I are organizing a very low-key and informal event for toddlers and preschoolers as part of the Bike Pittsburgh Bike Fest festivities in August. TrikeFest: it's a BikeFest event for the preschool set. Sunday, August 11 - 4 pm to 4:45 pm Bring your toddlers and preschoolers to the Highland Park Fountain (main park entrance) for an all-sidewalk tricycle and balance bike ride, while watching the Bubbles on Bikes Jamboree Ride preparations! (What is Bubbles on Bikes? It's the Whimsy Engineering contribution to BikeFest, for experienced adult riders who will be heading off through the city to blow bubbles as they ride. We'll just be watching them set up, and most likely, enjoying the bubbles as they get ready!) We'll wrap up by 4.45 so those who want to stay for Reservoir of Jazz can settled down before the music starts at 5, and those not staying, can pack up and be on their way before the concert starts.
