They separated both parties and learned that a verbal altercation led *Michelle Dean, 56, of Homewood,* to swing a knife in the direction of her boyfriend's face, cutting him on the cheek. Dean was arrested on charges of domestic violence. (158761) *8/21/17 Stolen Vehicle - 7100 block Churchland Street.* Victim reported that her 2007 silver Chevy Impala (PA plate JBA-6624) was taken from the 7100 block of Churchland Street. Victim believes her daughter stole her car. (158796) *8/21/17 Burglary - 7101 Hamilton Avenue (Carnegie Library), 6:56 PM.* Officers responded to the Carnegie Library for an alarm activation. They observed an open side door and a broken window. Officers cleared the building and found no one inside. Video surveillance showed a black male in his 50's entering the building and walking around. On 8/23/17 at 3:15 PM, officers responded to the library for a suspicious male. Officers stopped *Robert Davis, 59, of Homewood.* Through their investigation, officers learned that Davis was the burglar from 8/21. Davis was arrested. (159190) *8/22/17 Burglary - 7207 Frankstown Ave (Adan Market), 6:28 AM. *Officers responded to Adan Market for a burglary-in-progress. They observed the front glass door smashed and a cash register tray laying on the street. Officers cleared the building and found no one inside. Detectives responded to process the scene. (159513) *8/22/17 Aggravated Assault - East Hills Drive & Park Hill Drive, 4:10 PM. *Officers responded to a call for shots fired in East Hills. Upon arrival, the victims stated that they were shot at by a black male in an older model silver Ford sedan. The victims stated that they were walking up the street and the vehicle stopped near them. The driver then pulled out a firearm and fired (7) to (9) rounds in rapid succession. The victims dove on the ground for cover, then got up and ran away. There were (3) males in the suspect vehicle. The driver/shooter is described as a black male in his 20's wearing glasses, with short black hair. He was wearing a gray t-shirt. The front passenger is a dark complected black male in his 20's with dreadlocks, wearing an orange t-shirt. There was no description of the rear seat passenger. (159818) *8/23/17 Burglary - 7000 Block of Bennett Street. *(160269) *8/23/17 Shots Fired - Kelly Street & N. Braddock Avenue, 1:34 PM. *Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for (19) shots fired. Officers arrived to find (17) spent .40 caliber shell casings in the street. There were no victims and no apparent property damage. (160471) *8/25/17 Burglary (Domestic) - 8600 block Bricelyn Street. *Victim came to Zone 5 police station to report that his ex-girlfriend, *Billye Clark, 46, of Highland Park,* broke into his home and stole his keys, then fled with his vehicle. The victim's vehicle is a 2010 black Chrysler Town & Country minivan (PA plate KJK-9632). Officers will obtain an arrest warrant for Clark. (161886) *8/25/17 Burglary - 7200 block Susquehanna Street. *(161996) *8/26/17 Burglary - 7000 block Idlewild Street. *(162706) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *8/21/17 Burglary - 300 block Lowell Street.* Victim reports the door to her home was left unlocked and a Sony PlayStation along with controllers were taken from the home. A witness saw (5) black males enter the home and leave with the PlayStation. (159051) *8/23/17 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 1200 block Point View Street, 2:39 AM. *A 54 year-old male victim was struck in the head with a glass bottle during an argument. The suspect had a PFA against her from another individual on scene. The victim was transported for medical treatment and the suspect, *Vanessa Denson, 44, of Rankin,* was arrested. (160197) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *8/23/17 Overdose (Fatal) - 500 block Dargan Street, 8:30 AM. *Officers found an unknown age male DOA in the rear of an address on Dargan Street. A witness reported that the male had just injected one stamp bag of heroin. (160305) *8/24/17 Aggravated Assault (Shooting) - Mossfield Street & N. Aiken Avenue, 4:00 PM.* Officers responded to the intersection for an 18 year-old male shot. Upon their arrival, officers learned that the victim had already been taken to UPMC Children's Hospital by private means. *Keith Redman, 17, of Stanton Heights, and Nattrell Jeffries, 18, of Monroeville,* were both arrested within 72 hours of the shooting. They are both charged with Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, and Attempted Homicide. *Redman has been charged as an adult due to the severity of the crime.* (161421) *8/26/17 Burglary - 5300 block Hillcrest Street.* Victim stated that her ex-boyfriend, *El-Sun Jordan, 25, of Mt. Oliver,* broke into her home and stole items. The burglary was captured on victim's security camera. Officers will obtain a warrant for Jordan. (163442) *8/27/17 Robbery (Home Invasion) - 5300 block Cornwall Street, 4:00 AM.* A 15 year-old male victim reported that he answered a knock at the door and was met by (3) unknown males, one of whom brandished a handgun and stole his cell phone. All (3) suspects then pushed their way into the residence, ransacked it, then fled on foot. The victim was not injured. *The victim did not call 911 until 8 hours after the robbery.* (163491) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *8/21/17 Burglary (Domestic) - 5400 block Black Street, 1:35 AM.* Victim told officers that her children's father broke into her home and punched her in the face, then dragged her down a flight of steps. Officers will be obtaining an arrest warrant for *Korey Jackson, 36, Unknown Address.* (158682) *8/21/17 Theft from Vehicle - 6500 block Stanton Avenue. * Unlocked vehicle. Evaline Street* *Arrestee: Jeremy Cherry, 27, of North Side* *Summary: *Officers arrested Cherry after he sold heroin to an undercover Narcotics detective during an operation in Garfield. Cherry was in possession of heroin and crack cocaine and was transported to the Allegheny County Jail. (160045) *8/26/17 2:23 AM Frankston Avenue & Sterrett Street Arrestee: William Alexander, 36, of Braddock Summary: *Officers conducted a traffic stop after witnessing a vehicle make an illegal U-turn in the street. The driver was identified as William Alexander. Officers learned that Alexander had a warrant for his arrest and placed him under arrest. Officers found that Alexander had a Glock .45 caliber pistol tucked into his waistband and another Glock 9mm pistol in the back seat. Alexander did not possess a valid license to carry a concealed firearm.
