Pardon my possible ignorance, but is there any other neighborhood in Pittsburgh that has received the historic designation and, if so, which?
I used the NRIS (National Register Information System) at <http://www.nr.nps.gov/> to find: * Allegheny West Historic District - Roughly bounded by Brighton Rd., Jabok Way, Ridge and Allegheny Aves. (listed 1978-11-02) * Alpha Terrace Historic District - 716--740 and 721--743 N. Beatty St. (listed 1985-07-18) * Deutschtown Historic District - Roughly bounded by Cedar Ave., Knoll, East, and Pressley Sts. (listed 1983-11-25) * East Carson Street Historic District - Roughly E. Carson St. from 9th to 24th St. (listed 1983-11-17) * Homestead Historic District - Eighth Ave. area roughly bounded by Mesta, Sixth, Andrew, 11th and Walnuts Sts. and Doyle and Seventh Aves. (listed 1990-05-10) * Manchester Historic District - Irregular pattern contained with Faulsey, Chateau, Franklin, and Bidwell Sts. (listed 1975-09-18) * Mexican War Streets Historic District - Irregular pattern between Brighton and Arch Sts. and between O'Hern and West Park (listed 1975-05-28) * Old Allegheny Rows Historic District - Roughly bounded by Sedgwick, California, Marquis, Mero, Brighton, and Moorison Sts. (listed 1984-11-01) * Schenley Farms Historic District - Roughly bounded by Andover Terr., Centre, Bellefield, and Parkman Aves., Ditbridge, Thackeray, Forbes and Mawhinney (listed 1983-07-22) I did not include listed districts that were downtown. Also the NRIS available at the site above does not yet include the Highland Park listing. Rudy
