Dear neighbors, Alert! *NeNe*, my service parrot, drew my "attention" to our starboard window this morning with a small commotion. I looked out and observed two young white girls who appeared to be casing the cars on the street, in the neighborhood of Highland Park. They were looking into "all" of the windows, under the auspices of checking their makeup and hair. One wore glasses, the other, boots. *NeNe* was making such a commotion, and caught the attention of the doxy in the glasses. When she looked up and saw us, she knew she'd been caught. They left in a jiffy. There seems to be a neighborhood trend of keeping car doors "unlocked" (is this the young carefree and casual approach to car ownership these days?), so let this be another omen... the streets are not safe. your neighbor, Pat Glenhilski
