Incidents from Highland Park include: 6/18/17 Theft from Vehicle - 100 block Lake Dr. (112792) 6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 900 block Farragut St. (114161) 6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 800 block Sheridan Ave. (113702) 6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 5500 block Wellesley Ave. (113771) 6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 5700 block Elgin St. (113672) 6/20/17 Theft from Vehicle - 800 block N. St. Clair St. (114080) An increased number of thefts from vehicles were also reported in other nearby neighborhoods, so please remember to lock your car and to not leave any valuables visible. Nothing was stolen. (115707) *6/22/17 Robbery (Domestic) - 2500 block Park Hill Drive, 11:30 PM.* Officers responded to UPMC Mercy Hospital to speak with a 39 year-old female victim who indicated that she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend, *Devon Prunty,35, of East Hills.* The argument escalated and Prunty began punching the victim in the face. The victim told officers that the assault lasted several minutes. Prunty then fled the scene after grabbing the victim's phone from her hand. Officers will obtain an arrest warrant for Devon Prunty. (115890) *6/23/17 Robbery - Formosa Way & N. Homewood Avenue, 9:00 AM.* A 32 year-old male victim called 911 to report that he had been robbed at gunpoint by two unknown suspects while at the PNC Bank ATM on N. Homewood Avenue two hours earlier. The victim told officers that two men accosted him then one pulled a gun and took his ID card and bank card before fleeing on foot. (116069) *6/23/17 Carjacking - 1200 block Nolan Court, 4:20 PM.* A 19 year-old male pizza delivery driver (victim) was returning to his vehicle after making a delivery. A black male,15-18 years old, 5'0" tall, small build, approached and put a gun to his head. The suspect demanded the car keys then fled in the victim's 2007 silver Honda Accord (PA plate KLC-2614). (116242) *6/23/17 Robbery - 2100 block Park Hill Drive, 10:30 PM.* A 24 year-old male pizza delivery driver (victim) had just completed a delivery and was returning to his car when he was approached by (2) teenage males who began assaulting him. After the assault, the suspects went into the victim's car and stole his iPhone, wallet, credit cards, and US work ID. The victim did not call to report this robbery until the following day and could not recall a description of the suspects. (117007). *6/24/17 Burglary - 1000 block Brushton Avenue. *(116562) *6/25/17 Robbery - 7100 block Frankstown Avenue, 1:07 AM.* A 26 year-old male victim flagged-down a passing police car to report that he had just been robbed as he was leaving the 7101 Bar. The victim indicated that he was about to get into his car when he felt a gun in the small of his back. The suspect demanded his belongings and the victim handed over his cell phone and $200.00 cash. The suspect is a black male, early to mid-20's, 5'6", small build, wearing shorts but no shirt. Three other males that were nearby also fled after the robbery. (117267) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *6/23/17 Homicide (Shooting) - Paulson Avenue & Dean Street, 3:06 PM. *Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and arrived to find a 17 year-old male victim in the street. The male appeared to have sustained several gunshot wounds and had no pulse. Police officers began CPR but the victim succumbed to his wounds. VCU detectives are handling this case. (116178) *6/25/17 Robbery - 7100 block Everton Street, 8:55 PM.* A 24 year-old male pizza delivery driver (victim) was making a delivery to an apartment on Everton Street. When he arrived, three suspects approached him, a female and two males. One of the man brandished a gun The female took the pizza and went back inside. The males took the victim's cell phone and cash, then searched his car before ordering the victim to leave the area. The victim drove to Zone 5 and called 911. (117827) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 300 block S. Pacific Ave. *(114488) *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 200 block S. Pacific Ave. *(113912) *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle-300 block S. Pacific Ave. *(114488) *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle-300 block S. Pacific Ave. *(113674) *6/23/17 Robbery - 5300 block Rosetta Street, 9:36 PM. *A 35 year-old female victim told officers she came to Garfield to meet a friend. When she parked her car, the victim reported hearing footsteps behind her. When she turned around, the victim was confronted by a black male, 5'5", light complexion, between 16-20 years old, with a box-top haircut. The suspected pointed a gun at the victim and stole her purse, wallet, bank cards, and cigarettes. The suspect then fled down Rosetta Street towards N. Aiken Avenue. (116420) *6/25/17 Stolen Vehicle - 100 block S. Negley Avenue. *A 2010 light blue Honda Fit (PA plate JPF-0182) was stolen. (117649) *6/25/17 Attempted Burglary - 4800 block Yew Street, 4:30 PM. *A witness reported that a white female and a black male attempted to gain entry into a ground floor apartment in this block. A neighbor saw the male carrying a crowbar and attempt to pry the window open. When the neighbor shouted, the pair fled the area. (117707) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *6/18/17 Theft from Vehicle - 100 block Lake Dr.* (112792) *6/18/17 Theft from Vehicle - 600 block Mellon St. (113082)* * 6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 900 block Farragut St.* (114161) *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 800 block Sheridan Ave.* (113702) *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 5500 block Wellesley Ave.* (113771) *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle - 5700 block Elgin St.* (113672) *6/20/17 Theft from Vehicle - 800 block N. St. Clair St.* (114080) *6/19/17 Heroin Overdose (Non-fatal) - 600 block N. Negley Ave. *Officers responded for a 23 year-old pregnant female who overdosed on heroin. Paramedics were first on scene and administered Narcan, reviving the individual. (113303) *6/22/17 Theft from Vehicle - 700 block N. St. Clair St.* (115996) *6/22/17 Stolen Vehicle - 5500 block Hays Street.* Victim reported that someone stole his 2010 gray Honda Civic (PA plate KFH-7252). Victim had an overnight guest whom he suspects took the car since his keys and $20.00 were missing in the morning. (115822) *6/23/17 Burglary - 226 N. Negley Avenue (Farm Fresh), 3:20 AM. *Officers responded to a burglar alarm at the Farm Fresh store and arrived to find a broken window. A K-9 team cleared the store. It appears that several cartons of cigarettes were stolen. A security camera showed two unknown males breaking into the store. (115921) *Morningside / Stanton Heights / Waterworks Mall* *6/19/17 Theft from Vehicle- 1300 Block Cordova Rd. *(113791) *6/20/17 Robbery - 1500 block Trinity Street, 7:45 PM. *An elderly female was exiting her vehicle and walking toward her house when she was assaulted by three black males who pushed her face-first into the concrete and snatched her purse. One male ran away with the purse while the other two males calmly walked away from the scene. One neighbor chased the suspect with the purse and lost him in the 100 block of Hawthorne Ct. All three males were between the ages of 18 and 22. The male with the purse is 5'8", thin, short black hair wearing a gray tee shirt. One male was a larger male with an orange tee shirt, and the third male is thin, 5'5", wearing a red tee shirt. The victim sustained minor injuries. Zone 5 plainclothes detectives are investigating this incident. (114149) *6/23/17 Theft from Vehicle - 1600 block Windcrest Drive, 3:30 AM. *Victim called 911 to report that she has surveillance camera footage showing three unknown male youths breaking into her car overnight. (115979) Crimes listed in the above report include: Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Arson, Stolen Cars, Thefts from Vehicle, and Overdoses. *We do not list information for car accidents, retail theft, harassment, minor assaults, etc. * *This Week's Notable Arrests * *6/21/17 * *7:10 PM* * 6200 Block of St. Marie St. **Juvenile Arrest* *Summary: *Officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification in the 6200 block of St. Marie Street. Officers Schreiner, Davis, Poling, Joliet, and Connors responded. As they were en route to the scene, officers observed two males running, one with a gun in his hand, at the intersection of Larimer Avenue & Meadow Street. Officers exited their vehicles and began to pursue both males on foot. After a foot pursuit, officers were able to take one juvenile into custody, and detain one adult male. Other officers responded to the 6200 block of St. Marie and discovered multiple shell casings laying in the middle of the street. One juvenile was taken into custody. One firearm was recovered. (114882) *6/25/17* * 8:34 PM Bennett Street & Durango Way **Arrestee: Lafayette Lamont Goode Jr, 21, of Homewood* * Summary:* Officers Palso & Burdette were on patrol when they conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Lafayette Lamont Goode, Jr. Goode was found to have a suspended license. When officers asked him to exit the vehicle, they found that Goode had marijuana and a firearm on his person. Goode does not possess a license to carry a concealed firearm and was arrested without incident.
