Okay, HPers. Over the Christmas holiday table, I put it out to my family that I would do the Polar Bear Plunge on Tuesday to raise money for Jeremiah's Place, a crisis nursery we're trying to build here in Pittsburgh. (www.jeremiahsplace.com). Between them all, I've been offered $100. I spread it out to a few friends, and I'm up to $285 (one person is doubling their contribution if I smile on the way in AND the way out. I'm smiling!) Are there any HPers out there willing to throw in for the kids in the new year? You can certainly feel free to forward this to all your friends. Heck, forward it to all your enemies! I will hold a big sign that says what I'm doing it for. And, anyone can show up and root me on! We'll shoot photos & videos, too, which you will be able to check out at https://www.facebook.com/jeremiahsplace The jump is at the Mon Wharf on Tuesday (Jan. 1st) at 9:30 am. They're saying it might take a bit to park, so get there early to see the fun! How much will you donate to watch me freeze my butt off? (Really, how much will you donate to help children that need a safe place while their families are in crisis?) Report back to me so that I know how much I'm jumping for. If you send a check, put "Polar Bear Plunge" in the memo line so we can track how much this raises! You can also donate on-line at www.jeremiahsplace.com or show up and hand me some cash! No matter which way you donate, let us know it's for the crazy lady doing the Polar Bear Plunge! All of the members of the board, including me, thank you for your generosity!
