Hey, HPers! The Highland Park Garden Club, in partnership with UP, has embarked upon a course to beautify the landscape of this amazing building. While the "big picture" will take a few years to complete, we began to take steps toward that last fall and again this past spring. We are asking you, our HP neighbors, to pitch in with your time, your talents, your curiosity, your ingenuity and your love of the neighborhood. You can join us for a half hour, or for the whole time! If you have tools such as pruners, loppers, rakes, trowels, shovels, etc. please bring them along! You won't be asked to do more than you are able, and you will be sure to meet some friendly folks who care as much about the neighborhood as you do! We will be meeting at the UP at 10:00 am this Saturday, October 18th. We will be there 2-3 hours. In addition to the work, we will also be teaching a little bit about the plants themselves, as well as some how-tos on pruning, dividing, starting cuts, weed identification and any other topics that might come up as we work. Even if you're not able to pitch in for physical reasons, stop by and say hello or toss us a cookie or two! We really look forward to meeting you, and promise a good time!
