[Highland Park] PC Hardware Repair
I have a broken card slot on a Dell PPO1L and am wondering if anyone could forward any recommendations for local repair people/shops. I will post to HP List a compiled summary of recommendations. Thanks in advance, Barb EMAILING FOR THE GREATER GOOD Join me
For anyone who is interested, the recommendations I received are as follows: Visit City Computer in Shadyside. Telephone number is 412-621-2222. If the card slot is broken you may have to replace the board which isn't worth the expense on that model. Oh, I work full time as an IT Manager/Network Engineer and do some IT consulting on the side for Holden Consulting. My name is Mike Holden. If you just want some ideas or recommendations I can do that via email at no charge. Good Luck. This guy is great!Steve KarlPittsburgh PC Help DeskPCHelpDesk@SightSea.comhttp://www.sightsea.com/pghpchd/(412) 441-4349 My name is Jeff Dumm and I have done a lot of PC repair in highland park. I've also been Dell Certified. If you have a broken card slot, you may need to replace the entire mother board of your laptop. This is several hundred dollars in cost. We use Highland Park resident Steve Karl, 412-441-4349, for all computer issues. Assuming you mean a slot for a memory card, most assuredly it would be way cheaper to buy an external one with a USB connection as a replacement.
