Highland Park Marathon Family Sign Making Kick-Off Party WHEN: Friday, April 29th, 2016 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm WHERE: Park Place Pub & Applewood Smoke Burger Company, Bryant Street Join the Highland Park community for the 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Marathon Kick-off Party on Friday, April 29th at the Park Place Pub. Sign making supplies will be provided to help race-lovers of all ages make signs to cheer on runners during the big race on Sunday. Enjoy live music, marathon memories and good eats with your Highland Park neighbors. Bad weather? No problem! Rain location for the event will be on the second floor of the Park Place Pub. HPCC "Cheer on the Marathon" Cheering Section WHEN: Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 7:30am - 12 Noon WHERE: The corner of N. Highland Ave & Bryant Street Let's celebrate Pittsburgh's Birthday while cheering on the runners as they hit the 20-mile mark passing through Highland Park. Don't have a sign or noise maker? No problem! Sign making supplies and noisemakers will be provided, courtesy of Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon. What's a birthday party without a face painter and balloon artist? A face painter and balloon artist will also be on-site from 9:00am - 11:00am in front of the Bryant Street Market. Enjoy race-day specials from local restaurants, live music by Hill Jordan & Slide Worldwide and free donuts, juice and fresh brewed coffee to help kick-start your morning (while supplies last).
