From Planning to Canning: Gardening on the Cheap classes are starting tomorrow night (Thursday)!
$10/class No cost if on a limited income The class will meet Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning tomorrow, March 8th. Topic for the first class is an intro to gardening and how to assess your own situation and get started. All classes include information on fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers (including annuals and perennials), trees, grasses, shrubs. All classes also include money- and time-saving tips. Each week's class is independent, so take just the ones that interest you! Some topics for this year include: Composting, Seed-starting, Fertilization, Soil testing and amendment, Pruning, Birds, bees, butterflies and bats, Pickling and fermenting, Canning, Perennials, Organic and natural Pest Control, Weed identification and control, Transplanting, Planning your garden, Seed saving, Extending the season, Fairy Gardens, Trellis making, Container gardening, Gardening in small spaces, Cost-saving tips, Beneficial insects, Recipes, and so much more!!!!
