ISO: Winter Coat Drive for Refugees in Pittsburgh
Dear Neighbors, I hope this email finds you well! I’m reaching out to ask for your help in supporting refugees who have recently arrived in Pittsburgh through Hello Neighbor, the homegrown organization I founded in 2017. Many of these families are experiencing their first Pittsburgh winter (and it’s a real winter this year), so finding warm coats is a top priority. We are collecting *lightly worn, like-new, or new winter coats* in a variety of sizes for boys and girls: - *Babies* - *Toddlers* - *Kids* - *Teens* These coats are crucial as kids start school and wait at bus stops, and parents attend job interviews, medical appointments, and more. If you have gently used coats to donate, we kindly ask that you wash them (if possible) before donating. I recently went through my own baby boxes and washed everything on a gentle cycle with an air dry—it’s fine if coats have names written in them or other small marks of previous use. *Donation Drop-Off Locations:* 1. *Hello Neighbor Office*: - *6587 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 (First Floor)* - *Reception Hours*: Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–5 PM (not this Monday MLK Day) 2. *My Home in Highland Park*: - Send me a private message to arrange a drop-off time. Your kindness makes a huge difference to families starting their new lives here. Thank you to so many of you who have supported Hello Neighbor over the years—we couldn’t do this work without you. Sincerely, Sloane Sloane Davidson (work) Founder and CEO, Hello Neighbor <https://www.helloneighbor.io/>
