This work-in-progress features phrases stacked and assembles like a 3D puzzle. The repetition of beats and gestures feels like the frustration of dealing with racial push and pull. Additionally, PearlArts: movement and sound will show "Interim 2: hand-held," exploring mobile device obsessions, isolation, and communication. CMU Professor Richard Purcell leads a conversation on Post-Blackness, Post-Race, and Personal Identity immediately after the showing.
