[Highland Park] Save the date: Kids Halloween parade Sat. Oct 31 at 3:30 p.m.
Dear Neighbors, We are planning a Halloween costume parade and contest at the Highland Park fountain on Saturday, October 31st from 3:30 p.m. until about 5:00 p.m. The kids can show off their costumes while parading around the fountain and parents can take photos. We'll be giving out prizes in various categories & don't worry, every child will get a prize! We will provide pizza and drinks so you don't have to worry about having time to feed the kids before heading out for trick or treating. If it rains, well, we'll get back to you on that... WE WILL NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP SET UP, SERVE FOOD, JUDGE COSTUMES, AND CLEANUP. PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. WE WILL GIVE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER CREDIT TO MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE HPCC CHILDREN'S COMMITTEE
Dear Neighbors, We are planning our Second Annual Halloween costume parade and contest at the Highland Park fountain for: Sunday, October 31st from 3:30 p.m. until about 5:00 p.m. Please note this is a date change from what the newsletter had stated. We discussed this at the HPCC meeting last night & agreed that it is easiest for parents to do this just prior to trick or treating. The kids will show off their costumes while parading around the fountain and parents can take photos. We'll be giving out prizes in various categories & every child will get a prize! We will provide snacks and drinks so don't worry about having time to feed the kids before heading out for trick or treating. If it rains, well, we'll get back to you on that... WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR: SET UP, FOOD TABLE, JUDGES FOR COSTUME CONTEST, AND CLEANUP. ALSO IF ANYONE CAN PROVIDE HALLOWEEN MUSIC (sound system & music) , THAT WOULD BE GREAT! DONATIONS OF HEALTHY SNACKS, APPLE CIDER, & small Halloween toys are appreciated. TO VOLUNTEER, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS EMAIL. WE GIVE COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDIT TO MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. COME IN A COSTUME (OR NOT)! Jana Finder & THE HPCC CHILDREN'S COMMITTEE
