We are coming down to the last few weeks of gardening season. The next date ( and probably final date) for helping in the Gardens, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 2nd from 5-7:00 pm. Angela Yuele from the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is already working on deadheading and removing plants for the season. I will confirm with Angela, but I can get her tentative schedule in case anyone out there could help with this massive task before the 2nd. If not, I hope we see you on Wednesday, October 2nd. On another note, we held the first meeting of the Highland Park Garden Club on Saturday. You will be hearing more on this from the President, Elisabeth Larman. She and her husband are avid gardeners, and recently "transplanted" from the State of Washington. They are excited to be involved in making Highland Park even more beautiful and arranging informative meetings to learn about plants, gardens and weeds.
