My husband, Matt, posted a few days ago regarding the possibility of starting a local playgroup and has now passed the baton to me. We're very interested in starting one as soon as possible. Our daughter is 19 months but I'm hoping that we can form a relaxed and inclusive group that is open to children of different ages. After all, it's also about the opportunity to meet and chat up other parents who live in the area. I've been talking to a friend who is interested and we're hoping to schedule a playgroup on Monday or Friday mornings and are open to suggestions on where we can meet. Yvonne VH has suggested the possibility of meeting at the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library since membership is pretty cheap for the year when you volunteer a bit---volunteer 4 hours a month, w/your child if you want, and it's only 35 dollars for the year. Does anyone have any other suggestions that we can consider? And can we shoot for starting our group in the next couple of weeks? Leesa Reynolds
