Highland Park Marathon Weekend Kick-Off Party WHEN: Friday, May 5 | 5:30PM – 7:30PM (weather permitting) WHERE: Park Place Pub & Applewood Smoke Burger Company, 5719 Bryant Street Join the Highland Park community for its 3rd Annual Pittsburgh Marathon Weekend Kick-off Party on Friday, May 5th at the Park Place Pub. Sign-making supplies will be provided to help race-lovers of all ages make signs to cheer on runners during the big race on Sunday while showing off their Pittsburgh pride. Enjoy live music by local band Metacara and good eats with neighbors new and old. Highland Park Pep Rally Cheer Section WHEN: Sunday, May 7| 7:30AM – 12 Noon (rain or shine!) WHERE: Bryant Street between N. Highland Ave and N. Negley Ave Let’s show off our Pittsburgh pride while cheering on the marathoners as they hit the 20-mile mark passing through Highland Park. Racers will enter from the corner of N. Highland Avenue and Bryant Street and run along Bryant Street to N. Negley Avenue. Sign making supplies and noisemakers will be provided, courtesy of Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon. A face painter will also be onsite from 9:00am to 11:00am in front of the Bryant Street Market. Enjoy race-day specials from local restaurants, live music by Hill Jordan & Slide Worldwide, and free donuts, juice, and coffee to help kick-start your morning.
