Hello Highland Parkers, I want to share with everyone that there is a great new live music venue in the Neighborhood. It’s called The Bridge and is located right in the heart of East Liberty at 6018 Broad Street. It’s the old Walsh’s Bar location. https://www.thebridgemusicbar.com <https://www.thebridgemusicbar.com/> Monday is Blues night and I have gone almost every Monday for the last 3 months. The show starts at 6:00 and ends at 9:00. The Blues music is led by the Jimmy Adler Band, but each week they have a special guest. Jimmy’s band and the guest play for about 90 minutes. They then take a break and at 8:00 additional musicians sit in. It’s always an awesome and uplifting show that really starts the week out with positive vibes. A $10 music charge applies. Happy Hour pricing applies until 6:30. Here are some other things I like about this venue: The space is beautifully renovated. They kept all the cool original elements, terrazzo floor, marble bar and art deco back bar- but made significant upgrades by adding a new kitchen, bathrooms, lighting and seating. There is a huge outdoor seating area. They installed a state of the art sound system that sounds awesome. They also put the music volume at a level that you can still hear people talk. They restored the sign in front of the building with classic neon. Food and drinks are excellent. Prices are reasonable. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Fun and friendly vibe I love Blues night but check out their schedule for other music styles and shows. Please come and check it out and support this business. I hope to see you there!
