[Highland Park] Call for gardeners on June 18
Education Innovations, Inc. invites people with all types of thumbs to join us as we launch NatureLABcommunity beside the Jubilee Kitchen in Uptown. The Details: What: Launching NatureLABcommunity (Garden Build Day) When: Saturday 18 June 2005 Time: 9:00am - 5:00pm (come for a little bit, or stay for the whole thing.) Bring: Nothing except your enthusiasm and expertise if you got it. Food from the grill and drinks will be provided the whole day. We will be building 13 raised bed gardens, planting a large pumpkin patch to get ready for a fall harvest festival, and enjoying the company of other caring community-minded Pittsburghers. See you there! This garden build day is made possible by a grant from NiSource. NatureLABcommunity is made possible through major support from the Lowe's Foundation. ******************************************************************* NatureLABcommunity is at the nexus of science, entrepreneurship, and community development. When complete, NatureLABcommunity will feature greenhouses, a learning pavilion, a performance space, and brick patio. Through these basic structures, we will provide youth programming including a youth-run farmer's market, NatureLAB Bistro, educational programs, as well as provide fresh produce to the Jubilee Kitchen.
