Karen, Jill and other interested Urban Active neighbors, I just wanted to send a message to say that while it is sad to hear you had bad experiences with Urban Active, I just wanted to let others know that I went the other day and it was a great experience!  I was there for a one hour work out, had no machine troubles at all, had no problems with the staff and the place was super clean and everyone was over the top friendly.  There were no upset customers and while the child care was closed when I was there, the manager gave me a tour of it and it was three times bigger, cleaner and nicer than the last gym I belonged to. So, just wanted to be fair and let everyone who joined know that there are some good things (other than bringing new life into East Liberty) about Urban Active, too. Thanks, Lisa     Dear Jill,           Thank you for getting this information and sharing it with the rest of us.  I am so sorry that they did not live up to their promises.     I had a friend who went last week for an 1 hour workout, but because of so many problems with the staff and equipment, it took 3 hours.  It was outrageous that they are so inept during their first week! Also, she said they had promised to clean with "green" products, especially in the kids area.  Well, now that they are open, no such luck.  They don't have much of a future in the East End if they keep on making promises they cannot deliver on.
