[image: Inline image 1] *Monday, January 18, 2015 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm, doors will open at 2:30* In today’s world our differences still divide us and biases can lead to violence. In tense situations, how can we choose to act non-violently? Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had a vision of the Beloved Community - where all are welcome regardless of race, age, identity, expression, or belief. The Beloved Community exists when people join together and actively choose love and nonviolence. This work was just as radical and relevant then as it is today. Since 2001, Union Project has been using the arts to bridge gaps between communities. Join us and continue the work Dr. King started decades ago - creating a community fueled by agape love and nonviolence. 2:30 pmDoors Open3:00 pmAn open discussion about how we define community as individuals - with facilitators Jay Oriola and Aerion Abney.4:30 pmGroup arts activities that allow us to express ways in which we can better love our neighbors - with creative partners Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse <http://pccr.org/>, Maritza Mosquera <http://www.maritzamosquera.com/>, and Christy Owens.5:30 pmA free community meal where we break bread and reflect together.
