[Highland Park] Mid-Week Update
Here are some updates to the Community Calendar for this week: THURSDAY Enrico's Tazza D'Oro will host an information forum with local ISP Telerama focusing on the world of wireless internet access at 7:00 pm. SATURDAY Mellon Street Neighbors Easter Party at 931 Mellon Street at 1:00 pm The movie at St. Andrew's at 7:00 pm is Alfred Hitchcock's "Secret Agent". Visit the Community Calendar on the Highland Park web site for details: <http://www.highlandparkpa.com/calendar/> ONGOING WEB SITE UPDATES You'll find links on the Highland Park web site to new, unfinished sections about the park and the Community Club. These sections are works in progress and should be completed in the coming weeks. Some sections (such as the ones about schools and churches) have moved, and there is now additional information (mostly in the form of links) about other organizations with Highland Park interests. Please let me know if you are interested in helping with the site. STILL TIME TO RESPOND TO OPINION POLLS The last day to respond to the current Neighborhood polls is Saturday. When I summarize the results this weekend, I will not mention the names of those who responded. Here are the questions again: Question #1: Do you agree with the proposal to create soccer fields in Heth's Run where the Public Works drop-off site was? If not, what do you think should be there instead? (Heth's Run is the valley or ravine that starts at Heth's Playground in Morningside and ends at the Allegheny River. The lower end of the run has been filled to create the lower end of the Zoo parking lot.) Question #2: Do you agree with state representative Jeff Habay's proposal to rename the Highland Park bridge in memory of Fred Rogers? Thanks, Rudy
