Tomoko ーーーーーーー Hi Everyone, As you may have heard, the Japanese Nationality Room (JNR) is holding its "Scholarship Luncheon and Silent Auction" on Saturday, October 15, at the William Pitt Union Ballroom. Thanks to many of the JNR Scholarship supporters, we have over 60 luncheon attendees and have now closed the Luncheon program. However, the public is invited to attend the Silent Auction (between 1:30 to 2:30), so do stop by if you have time to do so (and feel free to bid on items if you see anything of interest). You are more than welcome!! We will have some beautiful Japanese traditional artifacts as well as a broad range of other items, such as everyday use chinaware and Japanese used books. (Cash or Check Only). This event is to raise money for the JNR Summer Scholarship that is awarded to Pitt students, both undergraduate and graduate.
