Share This: MUSIC IN A GREAT SPACE Sunday, October 23 at 4:00 PM | Shadyside Presbyterian Church The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, accompanied by Dr. Edward Alan Moore, East Liberty Presbyterian Church’s new Organist and Music Director, and conducted by Music Director Betsy Burleigh, will open the 2011-2012 performance season with Music in a Great Space, a concert of epic proportions. The program will feature Zoltán Kodály's Laudes organi, Francis Poulenc’s Litanies à la Vierge Noire, and Felix Mendelssohn's Heilig, among other choral selections, including several presented antiphonally. Tickets may be purchased by calling 412-682-4300 or at the door: $10 for adults $5 for seniors (60+) Free for students and children The Music in a Great Space concert series is a memorial to Lydia Schulze Saul, made possible by a generous act of her son, William, upon his death in 1995. All proceeds from ticket sales are distributed to charitable causes through the Missions Committee of Shadyside Presbyterian Church.
