Gardening class tonight--drying flowers, herbs, fruits and veggies
Always wanted to know how to preserve those awesome mushrooms, tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries and other produce while it's in season and available from your garden (or for a much lower price via farmers markets)? Wish you could use your own herbs year-round instead of just in the summer? Wish you could hold onto that beautiful bouquet you received, or some of the spectacular flowers you grew? Well, then, this is the class for you!!! We'll learn multiple techniques for dehydration & drying of your in-season treasures, grown or purchased! Expensive, store-bought hydrators are NOT necessary, though we will talk about, and learn to utilize one. But that's only one method. Almost all techniques will involve no additional cost--utilizing items easily found within your home! We'll even make our own flower-presses!!!! Classes 6:00-8:30 pm here in the Highland Park community, and are merely $10/person, payable via cash, check, PayPal or credit. No cost if it's a hardship. Please call or text for location.
