Happy New Year Neighbors!   With the new year comes new possibilities and opportunities to make a difference! Act locally! Not sure how many of you have been following local politics, but it is very interesting (and disappointing) indeed!  (Our Councilman, Patrick Dowd, in my opinion, needs to check his loyalties!) We need to hold our Elected officials accountable for their actions taken (supposedly) on our behalf.  But I digress... Most people only pay attention and vote during the presidential election year, but this year is a very important year.  This year, all of PA's state reps are up for re-election (Dom Costa and Joe Preston), as well as Senator Jim Ferlo.   In addition, this is the year that the democratic committee seats are up for election.  (Republicans are in 2012).  The committee positions are important because, in addition to other duties,  they decide which candidates will be endorsed by the party in an election.
