The Zone 5 Public Safety Council meets on the second Tuesday of most months to discuss public safety issues and updates from throughout Zone 5. Residents attend to share information, trends, and successes from their communities; supply the Zone 5 officers in attendance with tips and emerging problems from their neighborhoods; and learn from Zone 5 officers and guest speakers so that they may inform their neighbors, blockwatches, and community groups. Negley Ave Special guest: Councilwoman Deborah Gross, District 7 At the last meeting, Diane Daniels was elected as the new zone council President and Stacey DiRenzo was re-elected as Secretary. Their terms will include 2014 and 2015. Congratulations and thank you to Diane and Stacey! Diane had been in the middle of a 2-year term as Vice President, thus her election left the position vacant until the next election in January 2015. Emily Keebler, immediate past-president, was appointed to fill-in as Vice President for as much of the remainder of the term as she is able.
