After reading Amy's post this morning and hearing about other risky behavior demonstrated by SPIN users this weekend, I reached out to the Director of the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI). I alerted her to the problems we're seeing and asked about their long term plans for the scooters, including if they have strategies to address the public safety issues they're causing. They said they'd host a meeting with neighborhood reps. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, feel free to send the HPCC feedback about the SPIN scooters (positive or negative) so that I have a better sense for what's going on with them and how people feel about them.
