[Highland Park] Van Breakin
9:30 PM Last night following teaching a Full Face Mask course for diving at the Zoo, I came home to unload all the gear that I had used, then used a different vehicle to take my nephew, who was helping me, home. Only minutes after leaving our house our van, which was locked, was broken in to. My wife had stayed at home, and immediately following our leaving, she heard the door of the van shut, and the lights inside went on. She grabbed the remote, and relocked in. Nothing was taken, as I had already removed everything, but this is unsettling as they had to have watched us leave, thus thought nobody was there. There are also motion sensor lights directly on the location of the van, so maybe the opening of the door tripped them to turn on. This was reported to the police.
