The Highland Park Community Club and the East End Neighborhood Forum will sponsor a candidates' forum at St. Andrew's on February 18 at 7:30 pm. You can read about all of the candidates for the District 7 council seat at the Lawrenceville Votes site <http://www.lawrencevillevotes.org/>. You'll read there that four of the ten current candidates are from Highland Park: Bruce Brantley <mailto:kingbee007@juno.com> Casey Capitolo (sorry, I don't have an email address or web site for Casey) Mitch Kates <http://www.mitchkates.com/> Bob Stumpp <http://www.bobstumpp.com/> The Post-Gazette covered the Candidates' Forum in Lawrenceville last week in this article: <http://www.post-gazette.com/election/20030116ferloseatelnp5.asp> The P-G reports that the Democratic Committee for City Council District 7 has nominated Leonard Bodack Jr. as their candidate: <http://www.post-gazette.com/neigh_city/20030119dems6.asp> Rudy
Here's an update for 2 of the 4 Highland Park candidates for the special election: Casey Capitolo withdrew from the race following the nomination of Leonard Bodak Jr. as the Democratic candidate in the election. Tonight the Council District 7 Republican Nomination Committee chose Bruce Brantley as the Republican candidate in the election. Good luck to the three remaining candidates from Highland Park: Bruce Brantley, Mitch Kates, & Bob Stumpp! Rudy
