I grew up in Pittsburgh and studied English literature and creative writing at a Duquesne University. I love to sing and play music, dance, read, make things, and being outside. I am very qualified and happy to spend my time with children. I have all clearances required to work with children. I have been a nanny for a family of 2 children for over a year. Previously I worked with 2. 5 - 6-year-olds in a Montessori classroom. I believe very much in the importance of fostering independence in a child, in kindness and in patience. I have helped teach the letters and sounds, spelling, math, geography, and practical life skills to the kids in my classroom. I am very confident spending time with and teaching children in this age group. I have a decade of experience babysitting children ages 2-12, many of whom I have known over the years. This has given me the opportunity to see them grow and understand the way they learn and interact with their environment over time. *Can start June or potentially sooner.
