reminder re: petitions for Breonna's Law and ending solitary confinement
Hello neighbors, A reminder to let me know (via erinmarie.williams@gmail.com) if you'd like to sign the petitions to get Breonna's Law and to the movement to end solitary confinement in AGH jail onto the ballot this year. The important bits of my original message are copied below. The Alliance for Police Accountability is gathering signatures to get initiatives for the passage of Breonna's Law (ending no-knock warrants) and to stop solitary confinement (in the AGH County jail) on the May ballots (you can read more about it here: https://apa-pgh.org/ballot/). I will be gathering signatures for this effort on Saturday, January 30th from 2-4pm. Because of the obvious, I am going only to the homes of people that let me know that they want to sign. *If this is you, please email me (erinmarie.williams@gmail.com <erinmarie.williams@gmail.com>) and I'll stop by your house between the hours stated. *Please include your address if you respond. I will of course be (double) masked and gloved (plus mittens, it is going to be cold!). *To minimize risk, please plan on using your own pen.* I will also have disposable medical grade gloves with me if you would like to use them while handling the clipboard holding the petitions. -- Erin Marie Williams-Hatala, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Biology Chatham University Pittsburgh, PA *Office:* 226b Buhl Hall *Phone*: 412-365-1194 *pronouns: *she & her
