The vote will allow Brian Faherty <http://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburgh/search/results?q=Brian%20Faherty>, owner of Schoolhouse, to quickly begin measure to save the building, which he said has a leaking roof and other related deterioration that needs to be taken care of before winter. The price the URA listed to sell the building is $250,000. Schoolhouse is a consumer products design and manufacturing firm that seeks to make the 63,326-square-foot building its East Coast headquarters, complete with a retail shop and cafe, a light manufacturing operation as well as offer co-working space to the Beauty Shoppe, based in East Liberty. The vote on Schoolhouse was one vote among others the URA board took on neighborhood projects expected to be key developments in their respective neighborhoods. The URA board also voted to sell a 1.6-acre parcel at the Pittsburgh Technology Center <http://companies.bizjournals.com/profile/ura/145091/?mkt=pittsburgh> in South Oakland to Northpointe Development Group LLC, which is expected to build a 111-room Hotel Indigo at a cost of $14.7 million, a project that will bring the first hotel and restaurant to the office park.
