Hi neighbors, While we were out of town over the weekend, our house on N Negley was broken into. We believe it happened on Friday evening. The thieves pulled out the window A/C from our kitchen and let themselves in. Most of what they got wasn't particularly valuable -- laptops, and a jewelry box with mostly inexpensive necklaces (mostly from craft fairs and the like), though they also took a fire safe with all our important documents (passports, birth certificates, etc). If they should ditch any of these that you happen to find, please let me know. We've filed a police report, and will be reporting all the documents as stolen, as well as setting up credit fraud alerting and so on. Let this be a lesson in making sure your windows are well-secured, including those with A/C units! -- Rachel Kirby
