[Highland Park] Engaging Our Youth
I'm glad to pass along a reminder that the Kiwanis Club of East Liberty, a "small but mighty" community service club here in our East End neighborhoods, is holding an annual dinner and program this coming Saturday evening, May 1, at the East Liberty Lutheran Church, Penn Avenue at Penn Circle West. The Kiwanis Club focuses on building and rebuilding communities "one child at a time," and the East Liberty Club has had a very meaningful service presence for several years at Fulton School. The Guest Speaker at the Annual Dinner will be the Hon. Patrick Dowd, Member of the Pittsburgh City Council for District VII, including our Highland Park neighborhood. His theme will be, "Engaging Our Youth--What You Can Do." The dinner, $25 per person, is one of the principal annual fundraisers of the Kiwanis Club of East Liberty. Hors d'ouvres at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. All are invited! Please Call Kiwanis Club President Al Mann at 412 661-5947 to reserve a place at the table . . . . All best, BruceR http://www.standrewspgh.org http://revbmrobison.blogspot.com/
