RE: [Highland Park] Similar Robbery in September (fwd) (fwd)
Hi all, Over Christmas dinner I chatted with a friend who told me he'd been mugged under circumstances similar to those described in recent postings to the HP listserv. His description is below. If this sounds familiar to you, please let me know. I could put you in touch with the friend, who does not know exactly what to do next (Pitt police were not helpful, neither was 911). To be clear, they hit him, took his money, and he had to roll down a hillside to escape. It was very scary. Michael
Two African American males, I guess they were about 16 years old but who knows, came up from behind on Schenley Farms Terrace. I saw them bounding down the street but did not pay attention to them. They were also wearing hats or masks to partly obscure their faces. I can't remember what color jackets they were wearing or much else, except that one was taller than me, maybe 5'11" or 6', and the other shorter, maybe 5'8". The taller one had the gun and was doing all the talking ("give it up" was all I remember him saying).
I think as disturbing as the incident was, the fact that it happened 20 feet from my house is equally haunting to me now.
