Hello Highland Park neighbors! Rather impulsively, on my way moving out to Pittsburgh, I bought a 1970-something Garelli moped (photograph attached) from a friend of mine. The friend had moved to L.A. and the moped stayed behind because she had no way of moving it, therefore I took it without the knowledge of how to operate it, and without the owner to help me out. Two months previous to me buying it off of her she took it into the shop and it was up and running and in good working condition. But I can't seem to get it going. I really know nothing about kick starting anything, nor anything about 1970s mopeds. I drove a scooter around while living in Indonesia, but this Garelli appears to operate much differently. So, can anyone help me? I mainly need help on getting it started, so if someone could come over and help me out with that I would be very grateful. Also if there's anyone out there with a ton of moped knowledge, I wouldn't mind having that knowledge shared either!
