Good morning, Highland Park! On Saturday, November 23, 2013 St. Jude will be having a Give Thanks Walk at PNC Park. For those of you who are not familiar with St. Jude, it is a pediatric treatment and research facility established for the sole purpose of researching and treating catastrophic childhood diseases, namely, cancer. No family ever pays for anything at St. Jude, and the breakthroughs and researching findings are freely shared with doctors throughout the world. As the Recruitment Chair for the walk, I am responsible for recruiting outgoing and motivated volunteers to serve on my committee, as well as team captains who will be responsible for getting a team together for the walk/run. Please consider serving on the committee (it is not an overwhelming time commitment, I promise!) or starting a team with your friends, family, or coworkers to support this worthy cause.
