[Highland Park] Cats Need a New Home
Subject: Cats Lost Their Mom and Need a Home Dear Fellow Neighbors and Avid Pet Lovers(!), This is a rather urgent appeal for attention to some older felines in need of a home, or homes. A dear neighbor and friend of ours recently passed away after a four month battle with cancer and left her four precious kitties living with her Mom. Their home had been sold near the end of the year and her Mom is now moving out this week, but simply can't continue to care for her daughter's pets. There are four cats altogether, three males and one female, approximately from eight to ten years of age. All have been well fed and cared for and use indoor litter boxes. We're assured that all the kitties have been neutered/spayed, but have no information on inoculations or other testing. Charlie .is an off-white, spotted male cat who spends nearly all his time indoors, as do two of his comrades. He likes to hide in far corners of the house for long stretches, but is otherwise very personable and reputedly has an un-catty attraction to potato chips. Annabelle .is the lady of the house, a similarly colored female. She's a bit evasive to new company, but enjoys sunning herself on the front porch during warmer times of the year. Mia .the not so aptly named, is actually a male, slightly larger than his mates, white with grey spots. The only one of the troupe who spends significant time outdoors, he roams the local neighborhood by day but always returns for dinner and a relaxing lounge in the living room. Sammy .is a handsome, brown and black, tabby-patterned male with white feet and chest. He also spends nearly all his time indoors, with an occasional jaunt into the front yard when the weather warms. He was possibly his Mom's favorite and loves to cuddle in the evening, whether with human or feline. We are earnestly searching for any family or individual who might consider giving a home to one or more of these lovely kitties, given the difficulty of their circumstance. If anyone with such experience has any alternate suggestions for adoption, we'd also welcome the opportunity to discuss ideas. Please call one of us at the numbers below as soon as possible, if you have a place in your home. and heart. Thank you. Tony 412-215-5046 Tory 412-665-9020 Winterton Street, Highland Park
