My loving sweet mom is in hospice care and they only gave her a maximum of 2 weeks to live. I'm so sad. I need to find my forever home once she passes, but plan on staying with my mom until the very end. I'm looking for a very special family who can be understanding of my situation and who can be patient about my adoption date, since we don't know how much longer my mom has.I'm an exceptionally sweet and laid back 6-year-old chocolate lab mix. The humans say my temperament is exceptional. I'm fantastic with dogs, cats, and kids. I'm not a crazy, jumpy, in-your-face kind of pup like other pups. I'm relaxed and gentle, and appreciate my naps a ton. I am spayed and house-trained.Before my mom adopted me through Cross Your Paws, I lived in a crate in Kentucky for 18 months. It was terrible, and my mom's dying wish is that I find a home with people who spoil and love me like she has for the past 9 months. Because of my past, I'm a skittish girl. It takes me some time to get comfortable with people. Even still, I'm not aggressive when I'm scared. I will need a family that can give me a few weeks to warm up to them.
