Good afternoon! I recently moved to Highland Park from out of state and wanted to ask for recommendations for the following: 1. Dentist 2. Salon -- for women, just for cut and color (solid, nothing fancy). 3. Vet -- I have a large breed dog with previous orthopedic surgeries and a propensity for getting himself into trouble. I need a vet that is reliable, good with paperwork (for his insurance), and able to deal with a multitude of issues. 4. Car Inspections -- safety and emissions; bonus if the shop is also recommended for other car maintenance (oil changes and the like) I figured asking the neighborhood might be more reliable than Google. I am a grad student so places that reasonably priced are preferable (though quality is most important, of course!). Positive and negative insights welcomed. Many thanks in advance! Anna Meurer
