Good morning! I saw an orange cat in my driveway on Wednesday morning, and it ran to the street as I was pulling my car out of our garage. This morning I heard a mew from our back door, thought one of our cats was looking out at something interesting, and was surprised to see the same orange cat asking to be let inside. I'd guess the cat is less than a year old, maybe eight to ten months, but it's hard to be sure whether it's thin due to adolescence or due to a street diet. It's cute and friendly, and I intend to take it to a shelter to see if it has a chip, but wanted to ask whether anyone knows if this kitty has a home close by -- or if it doesn't have any identification, whether anyone wants a cute orange cat instead of me taking it to Humane Animal Rescue. (I don't have any availability this morning to try to get it into a cat carrier and have it checked for a microchip, hence giving a decent meal of cat treats to make sure it'll come back 😸) Thank you!
