September 9 is "Round Up Sunday" at St. Andrew's--corner of Hampton Street and N. Euclid Avenue in Highland Park-- each year the first big day of our fall season. Services are at 9 and 11 a.m.--and at the 11 a.m. service we will have our full choir, happily returned and well-rested after their summer hiatus, and as special guest musician, all the way from England, Mr. Joseph Nolan, whose official title is "Organist of Her Majesty's Chapels Royal at St. James Palace." Nursery Care for infants and very young children is available 8:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Between the two morning services, from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m., a new year begins for our very popular, Montessori-based Godly Play classes (Pre-K - 5th grades) and our Sunday morning Youth Gathering (6th grade-high school). The Adult "Coffee and Conversation" Forum begins at 10 a.m. And "after church," around noon, we'll gather in the Churchyard on Hampton Street for a festive Round Up Sunday Picnic, with chicken, chili, and all kinds of great food --and with PONY RIDES for the kids! All neighborhood folk, individuals and families, are warmly invited. It's helpful to rsvp (412 661-1245) so we have a rough idea about how many chairs and tables to set up . . . and if you'd like to bring a salad or side dish to share, that would be delightful.
