The first "First Thursday of the Month" service of Choral Evensong of the fall is scheduled this Thursday evening, October 6, at 8 p.m., with propers observing the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (October 4). The Parish Choir of St. Andrew's Church will sing the "St. Andrew's Service" composed by our former Associate Organist and good friend Alastair Stout. The anthem will be Mendelssohn's "Hear my prayer." A recital will follow the service--this month presented by noted pianist Linda Morgan Ellison.
