[Highland Park] Bike Pittsburgh - Bike to Work Week 2003
Did you know that Highland Park is home to Western Pennsylvania's only bicycle advocacy and awareness 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Bike Pittsburgh? Bike Pittsburgh is focused on improving cycling conditions here in the Pittsburgh Region - rallying for infrastructure amenities such as bike lanes to create commuter routes and connect neighborhoods, or place bike racks in strategic locations. Bike Pittsburgh is a key sponsor for Bike To Work Week 2003 - from May 12th through May 16th. If you've considered biking from Highland Park to Downtown and would like more information on a best route from where you live, contact Bike Pittsburgh at: info@bike-pgh.org. Bike Pittsburgh maintains a website - <http://www.bike-pgh.org> If you're into racing, you can find other speedy cyclists several times a week all through the Summer at the Washington Boulevard Oval for a "Summer Criterion" series. All ages and skill levels are welcome. You can get more information on the Washington Boulevard Oval at the Bike Pittsburgh website in the "Events & Activities" area - it's right at the top of the page. Best regards, David Hoffman
