Hi, I'm staying with someone in Highland Park this weekend while apartment hunting, and she let me know about this listserv. My fiance will be starting a 4-year contract at UPMC this summer, and I am graduating from my master's program in May. We're excited about the move to Pittsburgh and are looking forward to settling down somewhere for a while. We have excellent credit ratings and past landlord references. Also, we both own properties that we rent out, so we understand the value of a good tenant. We're looking for a 2+ bedroom apartment, duplex or freestanding home with easy access to UPMC, so we thought Highland Park might be a great fit. We're looking for places with off-street parking for at least one car, a dishwasher, and laundry (not coin-op) in the building (in the unit would be ideal). Hardwood floors are preferred, but not necessary. We hope to start a lease between June 1 and June 15, but we can be a bit flexible, if needed. We're looking for rent below 1400. If utilities were included, we would consider higher rent. We also have a small (8lb) cat that has never caused a dime of damage in any of the 5 places we have lived with her, but we're be happy to put down a refundable pet deposit if needed.
