If you can, plan to vote later in the morning (9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.) or during the afternoon (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.). If you don't get to your polling place until later in the evening, the law states that you must be allowed to cast your vote if you are in line by the time the polls close. Resources for Concerned Voters: If you experience any difficulties in casting your ballot on Election Day, most complaints can be handled by the Judge of Elections at your polling place. If your issue cannot be handled by the Judge of Elections, contact the Allegheny County Board of Elections at (412) 350-4500. If you feel that a violation of Title III of the Help America Vote Act of 2002 has occurred, is occurring, or is about to occur, you may file a formal complaint with the Pennsylvania Department of State. Any voter who wishes to file a formal complaint may visit the HAVA (Help America Vote Act) Web site (http://www.hava.state.pa.us) to download a "Title III Complaint Form" or request a complaint form at the polling place.
